Golden Gate Heights Park Improvements
The Golden Gate Heights Neighborhood Association (GGHNA) has spent considerable time and effort applying for funds from the 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond for Golden Gate Heights Park. The good great news is that our 2015 application has been approved! More details of our plan can be found here.
Now, the hard work begins!
An important part of the process includes demonstrating neighborhood support in the form of fundraising to supplement the funds from the City. In the past, successful proposals have raised approximately 30% of the total cost of improvements in cash and cash-equivalents. So now is the time to show your support for this exciting development by making an additional tax-deductible contribution. Find out more here.

District 7 Supervisor Candidate Forum
This fall, incumbent Supervisor Yee will face challengers Joel Engardio, John Farrell, Ben Matranga and Mike Young for the opportunity to represent District 7 for the next four years. This candidate forum will give neighbors an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates on housing, crime, taxes, police use-of-force, homelessness, Muni and other key issues.
Local Ballot Measures
The November 8 ballot will include a long list of local and statewide ballot measures. One local proposition would create a Public Advocate’s Office, with a new title, staff, and budget. Representatives of both sides of the measure will make their case and answer questions.
The public is invited to this free event, which is sponsored by GGHNA, SHARP, and SPEAK.
